I’ve been writing for publication since 1996. My first published works were magazine and newsletter articles. My first novel didn’t get published until 2006 (I started on it ten years before that).
Even though I had always been an A student in English (in high school and college), I struggled with writing my first work of long fiction. I made so many mistakes and for many years put my manuscript aside. The learning curve was so great, I figured I wasn’t cut out to be a writer.
Looking back, I wish I’d someone to show me the ropes and guide me (lovingly) along the right path. Someone to answer my questions without judgement. My goal with this portion of my site is to help smooth that path for you as a would-be writer in the arena of fiction, particularly for Christian markets.
